In Libya, eight Nigerian women have been apprehended for alleged engagement in prostitution.
In accordance with Migrant Rescue Watch, police raided a house in Kufra district and apprehended the women on charges of prostitution.
A Nigerian man said to be a panderer was also apprehended during the raid.
On Thursday, October 6, 2022, the group said;
“Police following an investigation and Public Prosecutor’s warrant raided a house in Kufra and arrested nine migrants including 8 females of Nigerian nationality on charges of prostitution. All transferred to the Security Directorate for legal action.”
