According to Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, a former commissioner for justice and attorney general for Rivers State, governor Siminalayi Fubara is unwilling to make amends with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
Adangor revealed this during a Thursday interview on Politics Today on Channels Television.
He said, “He (Fubara) is not the person people think he is, he is not a peacemaker.”
The governor reportedly urged Adangor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, to file lawsuits to contest the legality of President Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Peace Pact over the conflict between Fubara and Wike. Adangor stated he refused to comply and left Fubara’s cabinet in April.
According to the former commissioner, following the Presidential Peace Pact in Abuja, his struggle with the governor began on December 18, 2023.
Before being transferred from the Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Special Duties, he claimed the governor had not consulted him.
According to Adangor, Fubara redreployed him as a result of his support for the rule of law.
He claimed that his resignation was due to his ludicrous reassignment.
Fubara’s allegation that Adangor obstructed his administration while serving as attorney general, according to the former justice commissioner, was untrue.
