On Monday, Anambra State Police authorities murdered two gunmen who were allegedly implementing the state’s sit-at-home policy.
The incident occurred on Umunze Road in Orumba South Local Government Area, and the hoodlums’ operational car was retrieved.
The gun-wielding hoodlums were murdered by their operatives on crime prevention patrol, according to state police spokesman DSP Tochukwu Ikenga.
“In the early hours of today, along Umunze road, Orumba South LGA, Anambra State Command Operatives on crime prevention patrol engaged armed-bearing militants purportedly enforcing sit-at-home in Anambra State,” he added.
“Two of the criminals were neutralized, and a white Toyota Hiace Bus with no registration number was recovered.”
“Further investigation reveals that these criminals were impeding the flow of innocent road users on their way to work.”

“The hoodlums aggressively collect their motorcycles and tricycles, chase away the passengers, and then set fire to them.”
“In the meantime, the police have increased their efforts to prevent crimes, and normalcy has returned.”
